    Stop Mouse Scrolling in Browser

Hi, I have just decided to move from Win 8.1 to Win 10 Pro.

When I am using my browser (most of the time I am using Edge) when I use my scroller on my wireless mouse it moves my browser page back … How can I stop this happening?

    Thanks

Hi, this may give a clue:
Mouse scroll wheel not working in Edge - Microsoft Community

    Edgeback - Microsoft Community

Scroll inactive windows when I hover over them
A clean install of Windows will turn that option back on. If you switch it off manually (which is my preferred setting), then the Edge scroll bug returns. In other words, Edge relies on this mouse setting being turned on in order to work properly. Since a high percentage of Windows 10 users will never adjust the aforementioned mouse setting, it's likely most will never encounter the bug. From my perspective this is unfortunate as it means it's less likely to get fixed!
I'd be interested to know if anyone out there experiences the Edge bug with the 'Scroll inactive windows when I hover over them' mouse setting turned ON.
    Note: I don't see this happening - build 1709.

I experienced the same issue with Edge on a previous Build but only when my cursor was at the edge (pun intended!) of the screen!
Soon the glitch magically disappeared and I don't know why!
Sorry that I can not be of further assistance.

Have you tried the fix found in the first link I posted?

.... I stumbled upon a fix, in settings>devices>mouse and touch pad>scroll inactive windows when I hover over them switch is defaulted on. I switched it off, rebooted and then switched it back on and the scrolling issue in Edge was resolved.

This worked for me, and took me about 10 seconds to fix the mouse pointer from scrolling all over: Uncheck the "Animate controls and elements inside windows"

    To get there:
    1. Control Panel.
    2. System.
    3. Performance (click on Settings).
    4. The "Animate controls and elements inside windows" is the top box (for me).

    I hope this helps.
