    Problem with Thunderbird and MAPI

Client of mine use Omni Accounts for POS system and Thundebird for Mail. On 2 new PC's when e-mailing from Omni it does not interact with Thunderbird. Windows 10 Home 64-bit
Thunderbird set as default account. Have installed .Net framework 2 and C+ Redustributable.
MAPI broken? Fresh installs on both PC's.

On an existing PC with Windows 10 , Omni and Thunderbird it does work.

    Can someone please enlighten me?

It's not clear what the problem is does work OK as a straight email is you can send recurve OK? When you say it doesn't interact what do you mean

    Thunderbird works fine.
Sending mail Omni accounts should open a new message with the generated PDF file attach.
Nothing happens - no error message nothing - it fails quietly.

I ran in to the same problem with a fresh install of Windows 10 1803 64 bit, Thunderbird and Omni Accounts.

I had to make sure that Thunderbird was the default mail client and then use Registry Editor to create a registry entry called MAPI of type REG_SZ and with a value of 1 in these two keys:-
    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Messaging Subsystem
    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows Messaging Subsystem

This then got Omni Accounts using Thunderbird to send emails.
