How can I get Edge to retain one of my passwords that it won't hold?

Ever since the latest update a few days ago, Edge no longer remembers my eBay password even though in Settings, Advanced Settings, Manage Passwords, "save passwords" is selected, and even though eBay is listed in the saved password list. Each time I login to eBay, I have to again select "save password" but Edge doesn't remember it when I later return to eBay. Edge does remember all my other passwords, except for eBay.
Has this happened to anyone else, and any suggestions how to fix this?
    Thanks.

    Hi Dutch.

I would delete all your browsing data but keep your passwords. I would then manage your passwords and remove ebay entry.

Log into site and save password.

Deleting cookies could also mean the removal of some "Remembered" sites but as you use the Password component you should be okay.

Just to be sure I get it right, do you mean delete the browsing history = go to History, then Clear History? Thanks.

    Not exactly

In Edge, three dots upper right hand corners, settings, main heading Clear browsing data with a button Choose what to clear.

    Keep passwords.

    Ken,

Unfortunately, that didn't resolve the issue. Edge holds the eBay password as long as I keep the browser open, meaning, I can visit several other sites and return to eBay without having to log into eBay again, but if I close Edge and reopen it, it does not hold the password. If this leads to any other suggestions, let me know. Thanks very much for your help!

I don't use any password saver in any browser but I thought I would give it a try.

    Exact same results.

Worked until I exited. Then no go and that screen shot was taken after I restarted Edge.

I know this is an old article, hopefully it is patched, but it talks to an exposure using Edge's password function. Could be E-Bay says I'm not allowing if this exposure exists.

I use an independent password manager.

Are you using the remember me option (cookie) or the saved password?

I experience something similar to this with another site. Edge is my only browser and I don't use a 3rd party password manager.

Are you accessing eBay from 'Favourites' ? If so then you could try copy and pasting your successful login url to notepad and see if using that works in future by just pasting (paste and go) the URL into Edge. If it does then try deleting the favourite and then reapplying.

There also seems to be a weird tie up between IE and Edge with regard to passwords and login data. Clearing all history/passwords/cookies etc in IE also deletes some but not all Edge login details.

All your stored login details should show up in credential manager (control panel > Credential Manager) and I can see my eBay details listed but not the site I have issues with.

Update: I now have the same behavior you two experience. I did not have eBay in my saved password list or the 'never save' list or Control panel/Credentials Manager (had a problem few yrs ago where someone ordered from acct so I want to login each time, must have forgotten last time). I do this for paypal, brokerage, credit cards, etc too … NEVER remember these.
Tested by logging out/ signing in/ accepting 'Save password'/checking 'Remember' on eBay page/closed Edge/ opened Edge/ have to sign-in each time now. Also tried your Post 4 suggestion. Nada.
So this must be a new issue. This is actually what I prefer so if I forget to sign out, Edge will do it for me.
