    Stop these screens from appearing

The screens as in my attachments will occasionally appear when i open my Firefox 61.0.2 browser and when i open Outlook 2010 email another Outlook help appears. Is there a way to stop this from appearing please?

Can't be sure since I haven't seen that before, but you might try setting some Notifications & actions to off.

See the snip below, this is the way the top four on mine are set, I use Firefox and haven't ever seen one of those popups you're getting.

    Good luck

Duhh on my part, I didn't realize/notice the top box you posted was for Edge tips, is there any way you can go through them? The little gauge at the top of that box shows 0% complete, maybe going through the tips for Edge will stop that one from popping up.

I have to ask, is Firefox set as your default browser? I tried Edge for almost 3 years, IMO it never did get to the level of a 'ready for prime time' browser. Just too many basic things missing for me, I moved permanently to Firefox.

Have you checked settings for Edge? Open settings > Apps > Apps and Features, scroll down to Microsoft Edge, click on it, then just below the words 'Microsoft Edge, Microsoft Corporation' click 'Advanced options' turn all App permissions off.

I'm grasping at straws here @Terrance most of computer troubleshooting for things like this is to keep messing with it until it changes, lol.

Unless one knows exactly how to remove these pop up 'help' boxes, that's where we're at, poking at it until it's fixed.

Also, i found the following>>>run dialogue box again copy paste:-

    ms-settings personalization-start (press enter)

Make sure show suggestions occasionally is off, again I have all off.

As I notice TIP's showing in your screen shot Taskbar, you can open run and type:-

    cmd (then press ctrl+shift+enter)

An elevated cmd prompt will open. Copy the 5 below cmd's and right click anywhere in the cmd prompt window, select paste, most will run, you need to press enter to run the last one. These mod's are perfectly safe, I write them myself and are used on millions of computers. They disable all windows Tip's.

    reg add "HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CloudContent" /v DisableSoftLanding /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f
    reg add "HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CloudContent" /v DisableWindowsSpotlightFeatures /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f
    reg add "HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CloudContent" /v DisableWindowsConsumerFeatures /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f
    reg add "HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\DataCollection" /v DoNotShowFeedbackNotifications /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f
    reg add "HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsInkWorkspace" /v AllowSuggestedAppsInWindowsInkWorkspace /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

    I`ll see how it goes.

I wouldn't have thought a reg hack would be needed to fix it, I'd think there's an option somewhere to enable/disable those pop up boxes you're seeing. Although at this point you're looking for a fix to the problem, if a minor change to a few HKEY's will fix it then great! Just beware, there could be unwanted downstream effects to any change in the registry.

Have you had any pop ups since you set the options in Edge to off? If not, I'd hold off on doing anything with the registry until any/all other options that don't include registry hacks have been tried.
