You would need to configure an account appropriately before doing so. Have you done so?
In what way doesn't it work- do you get an error message?

Basic decision- web mail (browser) or email client. Which do you need and why? The first is simplest.

I'm not familiar with Outlook (presumably you mean Outlook as part of Office rather than Outlook.com) - I use Thunderbird and Poppeeper (a very useful free/commercial notification area program that can very quickly and periodically scan for email across a number of accounts, and supports handling of that mail).
Hi, thank you for the detailed reply.
Actually I have been using Windows Mail, with email addresses provided by my Internet provider. That is main
I want to use but I could not find the way in Windows 10.
The shop from where I purchased this computer I asked them to make all necessary settings so I could use
    computer immediately.

You need the details for your mail server to set up the account using an email client as well as an email address and a password

    Example for zoho.com
    Incoming server: pop.zoho.com
    Outgoing server: smtp.zoho.com
    Port: 995

and you need to decide between POP and IMAP

The easy way is to use a web browser.

Windows Mail - there was such a client in Win 7. There are still relics of that in Win 10 (C:\Program Files\Windows Mail)

I have this problem on a laptop with a new Microsoft Account , I can receive Emails but not send , I installed WLM and it at least gives an error message point to the Account being blocked due to Spam / fraudulent use ....the laptop has never sent an Email , nor the account , so no Idea how M$ have determined the laptop is a Spammer ????

I am thinking new accounts are an issue and have read some accounts are blocked for 30days? not sure what you are supposed to do with your new laptop for 30 days though as far as email goes....

Hi, thank you for the reply.
I asked the Internet provider to assist in email setting in Outlook and it is done.
I can send and receive emails.

    Thank you

Good News , I thought you may have the same issue as me , I will have to wait till Microsoft Answers my support request.

Win 10 Mail doesn't not allow you to set the Server info for Outlook or Hotmail accounts , not sure if that is only if you use the quick setup rather than advanced , WLM 2012 still works fine using IMAP though.

It Turns Out MS requires you to sign into Outlook.com (on the Web) and they then text you a Pin Number to Verify the Account was opened by a Human before letting you Access the Account , unfortunately the Win10 Mail App does not tell you that , it just says "We can't send this message"
