    Stop Web History

I recently reset my computer and ever since I am polluted with my browser history. I have been to settings and ticked the "Delete History on Closing" box but all to no avail. Will someone please tell me how to stop Google storing and displaying my last search as shown in the attachment?

    Cheers,

    Stop Web History

    Hi Edwin,
Thank you for your advice which I have applied without success. It seems I might have a different version of the Google system, even though I am using Windows10. As you will see from the attached I have a whole raft of web sites I have visited this afternoon, none of which I have no need for them to appear every time I use Google. I had thought about uninstalling Google and starting again but that might be a waste of time because it is something which has been activated and needs to be turned off. Any ideas please??

Check out this link: How to Prevent Google Chrome From Storing Browser History - TekRevue

    1) First, you probably need to close Google Chrome.
    2) Then it makes you go to that folder location in your computer. There's a file there called "History".
(Make a copy of that file to your Desktop just in case.)
    3) Open that file with Notepad. (May take a bit of time to open, depending on how big it is). [Look at the attached image]
    4) Press CTRL+A to select all, and delete all that.
    5) Save the file and close Notepad. That file size should now be 0 KB (empty).
    6) Right click the file -> Properties -> Check Read only -> Apply -> OK
    7) Try out Google Chrome, make multiple random searches, close Google Chrome
    8) Open Chrome again, and see if there's anything saved
[Yet still follow the tutorial from the link; the steps above are what I can summarize from that post]

Pepanee, I don't have Chrome, just the old fashioned Google. Thanks for replying though.

Go back one step, the arrow to the left of Activity controls.

On the left should be a menu containing "Delete activity by"
click on that it will give you Delete options.

    RonBin79,
Oh I apologize. I thought you were talking about Chrome. Hope you find a solution.
Also, I'm just a bit confused. You say you're using "Old Fashioned Google?"

What's your internet browser's name that you're using?

[Edit: Never mind, It looks like you're using Internet Explorer from one of your pictures]
