Lost folders

in my email section on the left side there are folders that i have created along with folders such as archives ,
probably about 12 folders with saved emails in them ,photos /receipts. and so on. at least there where.
now they have all vanished.( i mean the contents) and i find that when i save something to any folder
it vanishes soon after, how long it stays in i don't know.this has been going on for about a month ,at least,
that's when i first noticed it. can anyone tell me what has caused this . i would be very greatful
for any help.

- sorry, to what exactly are you referring? An email client such as the Mail app or a 3rd party program such as Mailbird or Thunderbird ? A browser- on-line email? Something else?

If you are talking about the mail program that comes with Win 10, you can click on the left side to show it and to close it again click on the Hamburger.

Most E-Mail programs have a way to show or hide your folders, whether it's a program or web based.

on the left side of the emails page are the folders. INBOX SPAM and so on. underneath these you can create
your own folders, and title them as you wish. ie. amazon/ gas/ receipts. then when you open a email you can save it to any one of these folders.it is these folder that the contents are missing from. hope that is a little clearer.

You still have not said whether you are using the Windows 10 Mail App, or What ?

Assuming you are, those are not created folders, bottom left, they are the Favourited ones, the ones with a star listed in All Folders.
