    Fixing to dump Google Chrome

II open Chrome, do my searches etc. etc. When I am done, I go to Ccleaner and clean. Go back to chrome an open history - clean nothing there except for the current browser opening. I then go to the search box and type in ONE LETTER and a box opens off the search box showing every search I have ever done that starts with that specific letter!!!!!!!! I then have to individually click each and click remove to get rid of that suggested search. Getting absolutely ridiculous on top of Google changing many of my settings back to what THEY want when they do updates! I really need a GOOD BROWSER!

Sounds like it is syncing all your searches with the cloud

Check in Chrome Settings, at the very top just under where it says your user name is an option for Sync, as default i think this is set to all

Nope everything under sync is turned off. Given that, going back to the settings page, Sync shows On - custom settings. Cannot find an off switch for sync so it apparently stays on.

This is probably not Chrome - it is your google account.

You can delete that stuff here: Delete your Chrome browsing history - Computer - Google Chrome Help

"Go back to chrome an open history - clean nothing there except for the current browser opening"
Already doing this - has no effect on the 40 % of so of suggested searches that bring up websites I have previously visited.

I'm having no problems with Edge Browser. I do use Chrome for my Bank of America site because, for some reason. Edge won't work with their "safe pay" section.

Use CTRL+SHIFT+Delete at the end of your browsing session.

Actually I use Vivaldi browser instead of Chrome with this extension that should also work in chrome.

    ClickClean - Chrome Web Store

In cCleaner, there should be a setting to where you put a "check mark" next to Google Chrome. That check mark tells cCleaner to clean Chrome's History as well.

Are you signed into Chrome? If you're signed into chrome, go to settings, under your name there's a small paragraph with the words "dashboard" in Blue. Click on that and then scroll to the bottom of the page and click clean or what ever it's called.

As I said, I go to Ccleaner and clean. Go back to chrome an open history - clean nothing there except for the current browser opening. I then go to the search box and type in ONE LETTER and a box opens off the search box showing every search I have ever done that starts with that specific letter and also shows other suggestions that I have not been too. Ccleaner does clean the history. It does not stop the suggestions.

Plankton, I am always signed in but in settings under my name, there is no "dashboard" in blue.
