Is there seriously no way to delete Edge from the Start Menu?
The only way I found was uninstalling Edge but I only want the friggin Icon gone from Start Menu...

Hi loungebob
Just tried on a second system. I right clicked icon and then click Unpin from Start.
What is yours doing?

Sorry, my description was a bit misleading. I didn't mean the (metro) tiles, I meant the Start Menu listing of apps on the left of those (the alphabetical one).
Since Edge is an embedded part of the Windows 10 OS, it can't be removed from the Start Menu.
I right-clicked the Edge icon in the M section of the Start menu and can Pin to Start or Pin to Taskbar then repeat and Unpin from Start or Unpin from Taskbar. In the Tiles I can even right-click and choose Turn Live Tile Off. Some of these actions can found in the More section.
Okay, missed it. Let's see, Microsoft wants everyone to use Edge even though it has a banner saying BETA on the icon on the IP/Insider Preview version of Win10 implying it's still a "work in progress" so I'd have to say No, it can't be fully gotten rid of, is being forced upon us even though not all of Microsoft's own pages/sites work right with it.
Either uninstall it or leave it alone!
(Probably best to leave it alone)
It’s gone. They never learn from past mistakes, apparently
