Edge will not remember passwords!

Yet another reason I won't use Edge!!!

Just a shot in the dark but, run services.msc then look for the Credential Manager, make sure it's not disabled. If it is restart it and restart your machine then check.

Black Viper has manual listed as the start up type.

Bing works for me, both with 2FA using authenticator app on my phone and it remembers the password if I choose that option.



It also remembers all the other sites I see here so you could check if you have them stored:



In Edge I am signed into my MS account and have settings set to sync - not sure if that makes a difference.

Credential Manager also says "Saved by Internet Explorer" when it means "Saved by Edge" - you can ignore that - it is just a small bug added to attempt to add confusion as whichever browser you use it says "Internet Explorer".

Might be a security thing...

You could try automatic or even automatic (delayed start) just don't disable it, then do a restart of your machine and check.
