I would recommend you try all three browsers. See what you like the most. Perhaps reply to this comment with a bullet list of what you look for in a browser.

Same here but I'd through in the free SeaMonkey [has a built-in E-Mail Client] and Vivaldi. If wanting another E-Mail address one comes with Vivaldi. Pale Moon is another good one.

Sorry, my reply lost something in the posting of it.

I don't understand how Chrome could be so popular. Too me the fuzzy font rendering is a turn off. I only really use Firefox.

I use Chrome because all of my devices have it ( iPad, Samsung Galaxy S8+, Macbook Pro at work, 2 - Win10 PCs at home. All are synced.

The problem with SeaMonkey is that it's heavily dated and basically useless compared to the three. If having a built-in Mail client is the most important, Chrome now supports a gmail extension for mail.

There's a lot of reasons on why Chrome is so popular. The first is because it heavily stole the hearts of many back in the Windows 7 era when the Internet took a turn against IE. The second is for performance and heavy customization.

What was the problem you had with the fuzzy font rendering? I don't have that issue.

That's another strong benefit for those that use accounts. Firefox now has that too.

For me I tried Chrome a few years ago and couldn't wait to get it off my PC(Hated it).... Using IE 11 on all my PC's is that after a very short period of time it always starts to glitch out on me.

I didn't like Edge when it first came out and was a staunch FF user but after using it for the last year or so I have moved Edge into the lead as my go to browser.....My top 3 browsers that I use randomly in order of best are.......

    Edge
    FF
    Epic privacy browser

I tried Epic but was concerned it did not appear to be updated regularly and the user forum is basically inactive. Do you share these thoughts ?

Well torre you seem to know more about it than I do.....I have been using it for about a year now and it works just fine for what I want it to do,which is to have safe browsing, and I haven't checked into it updating either nor have I been to its user forum.
So to answer your question all I can say is it works for me but since you have brought your concerns to my attention I will have to keep an eye on it from now on......Thanks for your insights about Epic!

Despite Edge being one of the secure browsers out there (close to Chrome's security sandboxed environment), why are not so many people using it? Not just from a security standpoint, but its much faster as well. I can think of one simple reason, maybe the lack of extensions?

Being that said, I think I am noticing some slowness in IE 11 as well and maybe MS is doing this on purpose to move people over to using Edge. Its only a theory.

Let me know your thoughts on this.
Ummm... why so interested in the opinions of others? If it works for you then great! If others choose to ignore Edge then... so what?

Note: These are rhetorical questions, i.e. you don't need to answer publicly... 'cos no-one will care. It's just a personal choice.

(I also note that, through no fault of your own, this thread has veered so off-topic that it's like a slalom at St. Moritz)
