My drop down favorites has populated to the home screen as a favorites bar? I went to the more/settings option and the show favorites is off? Any suggestion on how to remove the Favorites bar from my home screen?
From A18U the favorites bar is always shown on Start and new tab pages and when you click on a favorite, the bar hides, it works exactly as in Chrome, it was a change made in the build 17063 and officially announced in the build 17074:
Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately this is too technical for my understanding. All I know is two days ago, I needed to click on the start icon to get to my favorites. Edge seems to have a mind of its own. Some months ago, for some unknown reason my favorites were deleted. Oh for the simpler days of Windows 5 and XP.
Random thoughts:
- Are you current with all updates ? Which version of Win10 ?
- Go to the Settings option for Favorites Bar and turn on and then off.
- Reset Edge (Settings/Apps/Edge/Advanced Options/Reset)
- Run sfc/scannow for corrupted files Run SFC Command in Windows 10
