XPS printing from Edge browser does not print images to XPS

    Hi all,
hoping this is something you can assist with... I don't have a printer so I often print websites to XPS file - so that i can view them offline on my phone

I use Microsoft Edge (on WIn10 64) to print websites like wikihow articles to XPS (using the built in XPS printer in Win10 - Microsoft XPS Document Writer)…. but i'm finding that the resulting XPS only contains the text from the website, and not the images.

I have looked at various settings and looked around on the web for help, but I cant find a way to fix it

is this anything anyone else has experienced? or knows how to fix? I need the pictures to be included
    thanks!

I just tested sending this page to the Microsoft XPS Document Writer, seems to work fine. I'm running Win10 Version 1803 Build 17134.165, latest that just came out today. I also tested with this page, appears okay, animation and all:

hey, you're right! thanks for testing so quickly Berton - I can also print xps with images from that funny picture thread...

so its something specifically to do with the wikihow pages im trying to print.

if you have a moment, please could you try printing this page to see if images are included?

I suspect yours wont print with images either, so I can try and contact them and ask why

It worked with that page. I could open it in XPS Viewer but may have to be converted, it saves as an *.oxps file.

UPDATE: further testing showed the .oxps file converter didn't work, froze up. I resaved as .xps but just as you saw the images weren't there, only the place holders for things like the Page number image.

I can use Save page and get a file plus a Folder with all the support elements, opening the page shows everything like online so I'm thinking the 'path' to the storage of various parts of the page isn't allowing picking up everything.
