The problem with LP is that it only (free) exports text that you can save as .csv. The problem with Firefox is that it only imports from Chrome, Edge and IE--not .csv.

I thought I might import the .csv into one of the three other browsers and then into Firefox but I didn't find an import .csv option.

Yes, I believe you can do that with bookmarks, but passwords, no. The world is more and more security conscious, and that might be a gaping hole.

You would be rather defeating the encryption protection of Lastpass if you were able to copy those into FF. Further, since that presumably includes login info (not just a password) for a URL, are you sure FF would even be capable of storing such data?

(Note - I'm a Roboform user, and keep my secondary login data off Roboform).

Exactly. My whole point. It's not supposed to be easy to export/import passwords or any other sensitive data or encrypted data.

Yes, Firefox will store all and works fine (desktop/iOS). I had a problem with auto logins and to troubleshoot (after disabling Firefox's auto login) deleted all the credentials knowing that I had been able to copy same from LP years ago. As you said, times have changed, I didn't check before acting and now I'm in a moderate pickle.

I'm all for not easy. I'm not all for impossible with one's own data with proper security at both ends.

There used to be a LastPass add-on for Firefox that could do that... but not now..

Discussion here: (dated, just indicates the problem, greater with later versions of FF).

Yeah, that extension is dead. Least on later versions. Legacy it would still install, if you want to go back to 57 CSR.

6 of one, half dozen of the other. Anything that supports legacy. Add Cyberfox to that list.
