    Firefox continuing problems

    Hi all.
I have posted previously on my problems in respect of Firefox downloading, but not opening.

i have just completed my 15th download of Firefox with the same problem still recurring. It downloads, however, it refuses to open.
I have always removed everything concerning mozilla Firefox after removing the program(uninstalling).
However, it makes absolutely no difference whatsoever, upon clicking the Firefox, nothing happens.

I was just wondering if there was anyone that could help me find out what is causing this problem.

    In anticipation, thanks.

Have you looked into Settings>Apps>Apps & features, then scroll down to Mozilla Firefox. Do you see more than one Firefox icon?

For some odd reason, FF updated to 61.0, but I had just installed Beta 62.0. A fellow denizen told me to look where I just told you, and there were two installations! Versions 61.0 and beta 62.0! So, uninstalled 61.0 and things are right now.

    Crazier things have happened.

I did mean everything, which included the profile.

Checked settings and there are no entries for Mozilla Firefox whatsoever, as I had not long ago deleted firefox, completely.

Did Samuria's link help you at all? If not . . .

The next suggestion would be to download and install either a free version or a trial version of Revo Uninstaller. Most of the guys and gals here say that will get rid of things Gramma's lye soap won't take off.

Revo Uninstaller Pro - Uninstall Software, Remove Programs easily, Forced Uninstall, Leftovers Uninstaller, Portable Uninstaller

Firefox stores its profiles in %appdata% - do you mean you deleted them from there?

Try running the Firefox Profile Manager and create a new profile. Create a new shortcut on your desktop for:
    "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -p
Run it and you'll get the Profile Manager, here you can create a new profile.

Install it again and launch via "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" (click the .exe)

If it won't launch get ProcessLoggerService from page 2 of downloads here:

Download Free Software for Microsoft Windows | NoVirusThanks

Run install.bat to install it. Try to launch Firefox then check the log:

    C:\ProcLoggerSvc\Logs

Upload anything shown just before and after attempting to launch Firefox (open log with text editor and cut/ paste only the section around the time you tried to launch Firefox)

Uninstall Process Logger Service by running uninstall.bat or it will keep logging.
