No problem configuring Gmail, and csbkevusiond oponline Mail. Apple email Keri’s telling me thr “ configuration is out of date.” It dies not accept my Apple ID, which worked fine for iCloud in Win 10.
My Macs need double autho to configure iCloud if I change locations, but the Win10 iCloud worked with just my ID. WHY WONT THE EMAILACCOUNT ACTIVATE? Thanks!

I don't use an Apple ID for mail but in a number of other accounts where I use 2FA I have to use an App password rather than the standard login password. I would sign in to your Apple account and within the security section of your profile see if they offer and App password. These are usually long (more than 10 characters) and quite random.
If they do provide then use this "App" password in the Win 10 mail app.
Probably due to using two-factor authentication on your Apple/iCloud account so Win 10 mail requires an app specific password which is entered instead of the usual account password.
