    - and sent correctly.

Mail- only cut and paste works. Trying to drag 'n drop => clear 'no entry' sign.

    Note: not a valid link?

There seem to be two problems here: drag and drop, and is it a valid link? Am I copying the link correctly? If you go into You Tube and look for "Derek Paravicini takes requests!" you will find the video.

Suggest you try copying the URL (e.g. 'Copy Link Location' if from Firefox- will be something else in another browser) and paste it into Mail.

I don't use Mail, but when I tried to drag 'n drop a URL, it doesn't seem to be supported, whilst it does work with Thunderbird.
Yes, you copy the url from browser and then paste into your email text area. I doubt dragging the url will work.

No. You mistyped it. You typed l (lower-case L) after 'qp' but it should have been I (capital i).

Maybe I can help you, Are you just trying to watch videos on youtube or having an issue locating a certain video.

in your browser settings, disable hardware acceleration and restart the browser if the video's show a black screen and no video.

I can watch the video in You Tube. I want to send a link to this video to someone by email. In the first place it won't accept it if I try to drag and drop the URL into the video. Possibly I will be able to cut and paste it to email, but I can't find out how to do so. Typing in the URL as above just gives me this blank screen. So I'm totally confused. Drag and drop the URL to desk top - it will show the video. Drag and drop the URL to email and it won't accept it. Type the URL into Google and it gives me the black screen. I don't know how many different problems there are here.

in the address bar of the youtube address, right click and select all, this highlights it, now right click on the highlighted area and select copy

now in the email text area where you type messages, right click and select paste.

Or in the email, there are little icons for attaching files, photos and web links. select the one for weblinks and paste the address in that and apply.
