emailing links
When I try to add a You Tube link to an email it says "We couldn't add your attachments. Please try again."

Hi, could you say whether you're using browser-based mail - if so which, or an email client, and if so which.
And exactly how are you trying to add the URL as an attachment?
A screenshot would be great.
Thanks.
It's not browser based, it's an email account: Gmail.
I drag and drop the link into the email.
Suggest you try copying the URL (e.g. 'Copy Link Location' if from Firefox- will be something else in another browser) and paste it into Mail.
I don't use Mail, but when I tried to drag 'n drop a URL, it doesn't seem to be supported, whilst it does work with Thunderbird.
Cut and paste didn't work. I switched to Thunderbird and, while I CAN drop the URL into the mail, when I try to send it, it says " we had trouble sending the URL ......"
Back to Google: I can drag and drop a picture into mail, but not the You Tube video link.
What's the matter with Windows 10? It worked perfectly well in Windows 7. I hate all updates, they are seldom necessary, and only cause problems.

Which Youtube link? I'll try it.. Pasting a link into Mail worked for me. (Note as per my spec, 1709)
I grant you the functional stability of Win 7 (i.e. they didn't keep changing the spec) meant we had something stable to work with- no unexpected sudden changes- and it was more flexible in allowing GUI mods, themes etc.
Win 10 is a constantly moving game, with the 6 monthly stress and uncertainty of seemingly part-tested releases of new builds.
That said, 1709 is very stable for me- I mostly use 'desktop' programs, not apps, bar News, Money and a couple of others.
There is something weird here because when I type the code into google it says "did not match any documents" This is when I tried to drop it in here: Derek Paravicini takes requests!.url Processing...x
