It is a really bad idea to uninstall Edge as countless people have found to their dismay, reinstalling it does not work. You break features like Timeline as well.

The space saving is tiny.

In the end, just a dumb thing to do.

I meant, why uninstall as opposite of ignore as I do ?

It's up to the user's wish. And it look dumb to have more than one similar programs.

No it is not - I have several browsers - some work better than others on different sites. I prefer Edge but sometimes Chrome is better, even IE11 on old web pages.

You just break too much stuff uninstalling Edge.

It is dumb to have just one Web Browser, some have more functions than others which is why I have Chrome Browser installed.

Some of Windows 10 installed applications have shared components, so it is better just to leave Edge and IE 11 installed. They are not that large. You can remove icons or move them to inconspicuous areas.

Apart from that, the article is way out of date.
