    Firefox Problem

Recently I have been having a few problems with Mozilla Firefox Quantum. Sorry, that is not quite accurate as since Mozilla has been changing the rules and format constantly for the last 2 years appox, constant problems.
Latest problem for myself being I can download Firefox in either x64bit or 32bit formats, trouble is , the blasted thing will not open.

Anyone had this problem? Any solutions?
    Thanks.

You mean it's blocked from installing? Can't open the installer? Right click it and in "properties", unblock it. Best I can guess unless you define some more what "won't open" means.

I mean that it downloads fine. It installs fine. Just that it will not open/start up. Even as an administrator.

There really was no way of knowing what you meant. I'm sorry, I had to ask.

Are there any error messages? Any message at all? Or just click and nothing at all happens.

No messages. It just will not start.
All other browsers working;ie; Edge, Explorer, Origin. Just applies to Firefox.

    Weirdest thing!

My 2 cents: I think something is stuck in the registry. So I suggest you use RevoUinstaller to completely remove it. Tick all boxes to remove registry items for a complete removal. Then reboot and download a clean copy and try installing and see what happens.

It has always worked previously, for years.

In previously uninstallations I have used both Wise Uninstaller which checks all files, additionally I have used Iobit Uninstaller which does the same thing.

    Try
    firefox.exe -safe-mode
    in the Run box e.g.

to launch it in safe mode (no extensions).

Then run Appcrashview (free) for an easy way to check for crashes.

If still nothing, try in Safe Mode and advise result.

Another option - use an older version. (You can find and download older versions quite easily).
