    e-mail and cache

There's a forum I occasionally visit - whatsbestforum.com - where I'm subscribed to a thread for instant notification. None has ever come with posts subsequent to mine. When I brought it to the attention of the forum's webmaster, he said I should check my cache, it's not the forum's system. I always thought that cache is associated with browsers, not separate email clients. Mine is Sylpheed, using POP3, but email first comes to Mailwasher Pro in my set up, and I do not have any spam diversion set up with it or via my primary email service, Fastmail. In addition, I clear the cache and download history of my primary browser, Opera, at least once a day. So I'm left with the question, how is email receipt associated with cache? Thanks,

I'm not seeing the relevance of your post. Email is not ordinarily being dealt with via a browser on my Win 10 desktop computer (I use Safari on my iPad to get to Fastmail's web portal, but the thread notifications should show up there). There's also the matter of why that forum and no others, such as this one? Btw, my email is registered correctly there and is valid, unless their server, and theirs alone, is blacklisting it (I've changed the address used to check).
