    Chrome Browser- Link being hijacked

I was on this site this morning. Down the page was this link- http://www.amazon.com/TP-LINK-TL-SG1.../dp/B001EVGIYG. Clearly an Amazon link, however, when I clicked on it I was sent to the Walmart website for the same product. I mouse overed the link and it still shows this to be a Amazon link.

Thinking this was a browser thing I opened this page in MS Edge. When I clicked on the link it correctly took me to Amazon. Viola! It is a Chrome browser issue! Not so fast. When I tried the same in MS IE it took me to the Walmart site.

Can someone tell me what is happening here?

Set your DNS to 1.1.1.1 & 1.0.0.1 reboot see if it's the same check your not using a proxy server

I checked it with Firefox and appears to be a legitimate Amazon link. Considering a rumor I've heard I think it's entirely possible someone is deliberately using a particular browser in diverting visitors away from some sites in favor of another. Unfortunately that hurts more than one company and the users.

Done, but with weird results. If I click the Amazon link I posted above it went correctly to Amazon. If I go back to the Toms Hardware page and click that same link it takes me to Walmart. It is something about the Toms Hardware site.

Mouse over always shows the correctly path regardless of the site I am looking at it. The only problem is when I am on Toms Hardware page. I mouseover and it says Amazon, but goes to Walmart.

Haven't heard or seen anything bad about Tom's Hardware, been around on the 'net for awhile. Maybe they got hacked, have you used their Contact link to report the issue?

Same here. I have been using Toms for a long time. I will try to contact them.

Just to close this out, I messaged a moderator. He experienced the same redirection with his Firefox browser. He is investigating. Glad it wasn't something with my PC. Thanks for your help!
