Looks like IE11 support ending soon so people still using it will have to get used to something else.

Just use Edge. IE is defunct.

    Hi there

I hate Edge -- it does weird things like ever try and use it with the web version of outlook (sometimes for clients I have to use their web version of outlook) -- every time you open an email it starts another instance and sometimes doesn't close an application --also hoses up local version of Office 2016 if running that as well.

About the only thing IMO that Edge is good for is it has a built in PDF reader so you don't need to install a 3rd party program.

I've switched now to FIREFOX (Netflix works on it and Firefox still has a menu bar if you like menus).

I'll just have to keep IE11 for SAPGUI when running some SAP web services and until SKY GO stops using Silverlight just for SKY GO.

They are starting to roll out a stand alone application which will work without a browser so we shall see !!

    Cheers

Not in the UK, we don't. Look at the URL, yours shows bbc.com. Even if I type that I get redirected to bbc.co.uk - and then I have to sign in with my BBC account, and then IE works perfectly (HTML5 and all).

It seems to be more to do with you being in Brussels than IE itself (I'm willing to test that if you fund the trip :)). How do other browser handle it?

as you are painfully aware by now, I have a (probably irrational) affection for my old friend IE.

    Hi there

all the other browsers (chrome / Firefox / edge ) redirect to bbc.com doesn't seem to be any way to force the co.uk site.
Might be something with preventing access to BBc iPlayer if outside UK

    That would likely be it.

I've heard that ex-pats and those on holiday have some success using VPN...

The downside to Edge is that even some Microsoft sites/pages didn't work with Edge, had to use IE. Now if they ever get their own act completed, example is getting File Explorer mentioned in every thing instead of Windows Explorer, it might get scary. I have a couple of clients that can't use Edge with their banking, need IE or Firefox.
