It works great......just have to input google.com when setting it up. But works great!

Sorry, just got ahead of myself and missed that step.
Not a problem at all don't have to apologize to me, your workaround worked fine. I just want to clarify in case anybody else would have problems finding exactly where to enter google.com.

You folks are making this way too complicated!
Why don't you just pin the site you wish to do all your searches from, to the bookmarks bar, then middle-click it to open in a new tab; Shift/middle-click to open in a new tab and switch to that tab immediately.

That's not what we are wanting.....we don't want those tiles/blocks on the home page of our browsers. We don't want to pin a site....or at least I don't want to pin a site. I just don't want a record of where I've been flashing me in the face.

    Ah! Got ya!
Try a Chromium based browser that gives you the option to turn all that stuff off, Cent Browser is one of those.

I actually don't want someone else walking in and seeing what I've been doing, where I've been browsing.

For those who are worried about the squares that show your last or recent visited sites on the Google page, the fix is on post number 14 in this thread. I followed his directions and I haven't had those gray square show up once since then.
