After upgrading to the 1803 version, I am unable to watch media video

After updating my Windows 10 laptop, video replaying/watching on a browser doesn't work. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe Flash Player (needed for HBONordic), this is infuriating. Any advice?

When I watch HBONordic, I can hear the sound, but the screen stays green. On YT, the videos refuse to load.

When watching a movie on my computer, with VLC Media Player, I can hear the sound but the screen is black.

Go back to 1709 :) It works perfectly.

I didn't make a backup before upgrading, isn't that an issue?

You should have a windows.old folder.

If so, you can go back to 1709.

Much too soon to update to 1803.

Try an older version of VLC, they work just as well as the latest version.

Or try Windows Movies & TV, it works fine.

I presume that, being in Finland, you have the N edition of Windows 10. If so you may find that installing the Media Feature Pack for Windows 10 N (April 2018)' will help. If you previously had a Media Feature Pack installed that would have been the one for 1709 and may have been uninstalled by the update to 1803. There's a new one to install on 1803, links to get it are in this tutorial.
