How do I enable SSL and TLS options in Edge and Chrome?

When I go to certain websites, I get a message from the websites that says my browser is not secure. It recommends enabling SSL and TLS options or updating my browser.

Both my Edge and Chrome browsers are up to date. I do not see any such setting in either of them. I do not get this message on the same web pages using internet explorer.

How do I troubleshoot this issue?

Can you give the forum an example?

I'm thinking the newer browsers have dropped old protocols which these sites are using and they are detecting this and issuing message.

Might even ask the web site owners.

The CRA Canadian website gives me this message:
Your system may need an upgrade

To ensure the highest security standard your system should support TLS 1.2.

There are other websites too: Shaw support chat:

Your web browser lacks basic security requirements. This may have negative impact on your Chat experience. Please upgrade your browser to the latest version or enable all SSL and TLS options in your browser settings.

I get the same problem using Basilik (Firefox variant) and Vivaldi (Chrome variant)

It seems to be a problem with the website. Check each browser by visiting this link:

It looks like my browsers are not the issue from all your information. Thank you everyone for your responses.

    Our taxes at work.

Further down there is a link to activate TLS 1.2

The information is dated and when you follow through it says Chrome uses by default. There was a link to report problems, I did, Said info was wrong and outdated.

When you look at the specific browser they want it doesn't acknowledge Windows 10 is out and knows not of Windows 10. Says it needs Chrome V44 and you are likely using 66.

Honestly it is amazing any of our info is safe.

Yes it is amazing any of our information is safe. I hadn't followed the link to report a problem. Thanks for the additional information. Yes my Chrome browser is at version 66.
