Edge not recognising specific site login as a 'form'. No details saved

Out of forty or so sites I have set up in Edge, one is proving troublesome. The site in question is Sony UK Community Forum:

    https://community.sony.co.uk/t5/engl...munity/ct-p/en

I have posted about the issue on that site.

I had zero issues before 1803 April 2018 Update (which is clean installed). The run up builds to this also displayed this issue. The Fall edition was perfect.

Edge currently does not seem to recognise the login page is a form and so never offers to save details. IE does offer to save the password and login details and having done so they appear in Credentials Manager. This never happens with Edge.

I have also reported this using the Edge feedback hub.

This is the login screen where nothing is saved or offered to be saved.

Go into Edge Settings->Advanced Settings->Manage passwords and see if you find an entry for sony.co.uk there. If so, delete that entry, reset the browser cache, restart Edge and try the login page again.

    Thanks for the reply.

The entry was present in Edge and so I deleted it. This action seems to have deleted the entry in Credentials Manager that IE placed there. Edge still isn't remembering the login details or offering to save them. Also the entry in Edge that I deleted has not been recreated.

For no good reason (lol) I wonder whether to either try setting up a duplicate account to see what happens, or changing my password/email when I do log in. Its an odd problem for sure.

I just tried to login to sony.fi (your .co.uk) and indeed no offering to save credentials. If I go to account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com I do get the offering to save credentials. I have linked all my Sony accounts.

I'm not sure what's going on there...

Hey, thanks for trying that, I really appreciate it.

The Fall update had no problem and both offered and stored details OK, at least as far as just clicking the empty login boxes go and they were then auto completed.

It must be something in latest version of Edge on Windows SCU. On Chrome and Internet Explorer I get offered to store credentials. Seems Edge does not recognize all types of login boxes anymore.

Hmmm...better make feedback to MS about this.

Just had a go using 'sonyentertainmentnetwork' and that enabled me to save my login details (my same user ID and password) but I can't seem to link it to the community forum (although Sony say I can).

Like you, I'll probably keep pecking away at this on and off

I've reported this to the MS Edge development team together with a link to this thread.
