Mail App: Removing drop down email address suggestions

I'm not a big fan of the MS Mail program and don't really use it for serious stuff but somehow or other if I create a new email then as I start to enter the recipients address a whole load of suggestions will appear. I don't have any contacts in the People app so I'm not sure where these come from.

The question is how can I clear this list so that I no longer get the suggestions?

    Thanks

They are Auto-Complete entries. Not easily deleted.
One way of getting rid of say a misspelled one is to intentionally put it in to the People contacts and delete from there. some editing of the entry maybe required.

In the Mail App and People Apps go to the Cog for settings and reduce the links to the minimum.

More generally look at the Windows Settings > Privacy for links to the Mail App and People App. e.g. Cortana,

    Thanks for the reply, Helmut.

All privacy settings are set to off i.e maximum privacy.

Strangely enough if I go to my Outlook.Com account via a web browser then all the auto-complete suggestions there - which match what's on my PC - can be deleted.

I guess there's a local database or file where they're kept and if I can find that, maybe I can delete them.

Yet another ill thought out app.

    Thanks
