    Your download speed and caching and prediction settings(if you allow this) relate to speed of a Web Browser, not the actual Browser speed that matters for most people.

    Whether you want to use a particular Web Browser is your choice as to usability. You may require a certain functionality of a particular Web Browser.

    People just slagging off a Web Browser they don't ever use is pointless nonsense.

    IE 11 is in Windows 10 because the Edge Browser has taken sometime to develop sufficiently. Around 5 years.

    Because there are many proprietary Share Point Server functions that ONLY work in IE and only designed to work there, and no other browser. Many companies use Share Point in their internal networks and depend on both IE and Share Point.
