    Is Chrome Really Faster Now

I do not like Chrome, but after a long time I tried it and found it was faster than IE 11 Internet speed. Did they fix it or what? It was always at most half Internet speed of FireFox or IE 11.

Chrome has been fast for me for a while now. I used the new Firefox for a bit and it seemed just as fast. I still use Chrome for my main browser. It is the best for me.

Chrome has been faster for me lately! In fact, I no longer use IE11...

Chrome is fine, its unfair to compare it with IE11 since thats no longer developed.

I've tried to ignore IE as the plague and used it only if I absolutely must. I have always used Chrome and It has been really snappy for me. Now I use Edge for most tasks and it seems to do a decent job too after a few system tweak. :)

I still lie IE 11 and it is fast as always. Just never got used to Chrome or Edge as well. Maybe later.

    Howdy, slicendice:

    Just found your post here.

WHICH specific system tweaks have you found effective?

For me, Edge is faster. I still use Chrome though because I have two profiles with tray/dock shortcuts -- one for business and one for personal, each with different saved username/passwords and bookmarks. Edge won't allow that (to my knowledge) and definitely won't also sync the bookmarks and passwords to my Mac like Chrome does.

    Howdy, Eric:

I did a fast Google search for you (microsoft edge multiple profiles) which confirms your experience of Edge:

Yes, it's possible to access multiple accounts or logins in Microsoft Edge. We recommend utilizing the InPrivate browsing feature of Microsoft Edge. In that way, you may access 2 accounts at the same time. To do so, you may check the steps on this link. The article is about how to use InPrivate browsing in Microsoft Edge.

December 5, 2017 - While this might work in a pinch, it is not a long-term sustainable work around.

For those of us enjoying the Chrome feature of seamlessly switching/syncing user profiles, its going to be hard to switch to Edge, even given some of its cool new features.

I personally accomplish this end by using different email addresses (personal vs business) and then SORT as required.

Personally, I'm leaning towards Chrome due to the extensions it provides... however Google's increasing intrusion of data by telemetry, advertising and privacy... are a BIG turnoff for me... and one that I am proactively pushing back on.

    Comments from other power users?

THX for getting back. ~ Alan

P.S. I just found the following during in my Google research:

That doesn't solve the issue of being able to sync bookmarks/passwords between my Windows work computer and iMac home computer/MacBook laptop. Edge isn't available for macOS that I know of, and sync'ing with iCloud is possible. However, it won't allow me to sync multiple profiles with iCloud.
