Yes I did. I even reinstalled Windows for a different reason and it's still the same.
I do not know what else it could be. Do you use the 64 Bit Firefox?

OK the only other thing that I could think of would be to use REVO uninstaller and remove all traces of Firefox. Then do a windows search, remove everything it finds. Then re install Firefox 59.0.2 without any extensions. The free version can be found at the site below. I believe that you can use The Pro as a Trial. If all of this fails try Chrome

    Download Revo Uninstaller - MajorGeeks

Wouldn't reinstalling Windows itself be equivalent or better than that?
I prefer not to use google stuff as much as I can This is a minor annoyance which is not worth it

I use Slimjet as a secondary Browser which is Chromium Based and it is really fast. YouTube videos play in full screen. It also can be modified unlike Chrome. I don't like Chrome either. Maybe the SCU will fix it.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll try that. But i really prefer using a single browser and I love firefox. This is not a huge issue as I said, but it's annoying having used it comfortably for a long time and then having issues for unknown reasons.
    What's SCU?
