How to extract emails from notepad file ?

    Hey guys,

I have a notepad file which includes my customers records including email and skype id and some other information. But now I want to extract all of my customers email id only. There is @ mention on every email.

Emails are different like from yahoo, live, gmail, etc.

Is it possible to extract all emails only ?

    Regards.

Hi. There are many freeware utilities available that can do the job.

I use this one: Extract Emails from Files, Folders, URLs with Easy Email Extractor | NoVirusThanks

It's also possible to add a folder with recursive scanning of subfolders to extract emails.

Have you set it to "read only" or something? Try copying the contents to another file and see if they can be extracted from it. Maybe it's something to do with document encoding. Try saving as ANSI

Also FYI I just created a test notepad .txt file ANSI encoding containing emails and the program extracted them no problem.

Also try copying the notepad file's contents into a spreadsheet applicaiton (Excel or similar) using the "paste special" function to paste only unformatted text. Then save and try extracting from there.

I am assuming this is just a text file in which case you can open it in something like Excel with the Text import wizard.
A certain amount of formatting/sorting in to the spreadsheet boxes can be done by the initial 3 screens.
After that you can use the Excel facilities for more detailed searching, arranging, selecting, sorting etc.
