    Windows Live Mail Auto Starting


    Help please,
    Does anyone know why or how to stop my Windows Live Mail from starting up automatically when I
    turn on my computer ? I have checked ALL the startup, services, start up folder and the rest of autos
    all to no avail. any ideas greatly appreciated. I am using Windows 10

    Hi Shiron.

    If you are sure the program is set right and there is nothing within Startup there is likely a registry key.

    Using Autoruns from Sysinternals should allow you to find the "Start". This is a powerful tool and it will do as asked. Please ensure at a minimum you have a restore point. I would recommend a system image with a tool like Macrium Reflect as System Restore can fail at the worst times. Have bootable media.

I use Windows Live Mail and have e mail address xxx@live.co.uk Someone mentioned wlm would stop after the end of June. I don't use wlm to connect to outlook. So, after 30th June will I be still able to use wlm and use my XXX@live.co.uk email?...
I have a laptop that had Window 7 and I did the upgrade. Everything went fine. But Windows Live Mail will not load. I have tried reinstalling Live Mail, repairing, and deleting install folder and registry. I also deleted the cache in app data...
I've used WLM 2012 with Windows 7 and it has worked fine all these years. After installing 10 I see it contains its own Mail app. Is it possible to transfer all my emails and settings from WLM to Mail?
