    Microsoft Edge Autocomplete

    Greetings,

How do I turn off this feature? For example, if I type porn.com and visit that site, and later type p in the address bar, it shows up underneath. How do I turn it off?

    Oh, and before anyone mentions:

Have a look at this tutorial:
How to Turn On or Off Clear Browsing Data on Exit of Microsoft Edge in Windows 10

Turn On or Off Clear Browsing Data on Exit of Microsoft Edge

    excerpt:
Your browsing data is the information that Microsoft Edge remembers and stores on a PC as your browse the web. This includes info you've entered into forms, passwords, and sites you've visited, and it helps make your browsing experience better. If you're using a shared or public PC, you might not want Microsoft Edge to remember your browsing data.

Starting in Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14271, you can now turn on or off to always clear browsing data when you close Microsoft Edge.

Thankyou for your reply. Unfortunately I am looking to turn OFF the autocomplete feature on Edge not clear browsing data.

For example, earlier I visited uk.reuters.com and if I type "u" in the address bar it appears underneath, even though I have turned Search History off.

Partial quote from the excerpt on post #2 :
....This includes info you've entered into forms, passwords, and sites you've visited........
....This tutorial will show you how to turn on or off to automatically clear your browsing data when you close Microsoft Edge in Windows 10...........

Part of the tutorial is about turning off your browsing history.
If your browsing history is turned off upon exit of Edge, autocomplete will not find any stored data next time you use Edge.
Without stored data of the sites you previously visited, there is nothing to autocomplete from. Yes ? That's how I understand it.

I think that is the method I will have to use. I have no idea why Edge keeps the history of URL's as I have turned that option off. With Internet Explorer I can just untick autocomplete and it won't generate any history of URL's in the first place so I don't have to clear anything.

    Okay, thanks anyway.
