You'll need to either research this yourself, post in a forum specific to Office, or hope someone with Outlook experience can point you in the right direction.

@dalchina many thanks for your assistance, it would seem there is an issue somewhere, as viewing other sources these fixes work for some and not for others, everything else works (famous last words) so I may just live with it until I re-install.

So with my error message "there is no email program associated to perform the requested action" tried all sorts but nothing worked, so unistalled 64 bit Office 2019 and installed 32 bit, and the error was gone, however it seemed that Outlook was corrupt, having made a restore point restored back, still corupt, so good old Macrium to the rescue and a roll back before Office 2019 was installed and all is well!

So after the Macrium restore did you still have to use the 32 bit?

The Macrium restore put Office 2016 32 bit back in a fully working configuration (along with the rest of the system rolled back). So just need to re-install one new programme, and a number of updates to bring fully up to date, and a new system back-up was made.

    Thanks.

I've got Office 2013 and I'm this close to getting Office 365. Want to avoid any hassles.
