    What do the colours mean in 'Mail'


    In 'Mail' (W10) every email has a coloured circle in the top left hand corner. Are the colours significant in any way?

    Hey oldcelt,
    Far as I know they're just random colors for the senders initials/avatar and don't have any meaning at all. You can turn them off if you want - How To Hide Sender Pictures Or Initials In Windows 10 Mail App

    Settings > Message list > Sender pictures > Off.
    You can't turn them off in Reading Pane, fortunately not printed, at least the index letters don't.
