Windows 10 Mail how to setup contacts?
I do not like the default mail app in Windows 10. I bought my mom a new computer and she is moving from Windows Live Mail 2012 to this.
No support for email groups (she blasts out email forwards to her friends in a group). I managed to find a workaround by creating a contact and putting in several email addresses separated by a semi-colon in the email field. That seems to work, but there is probably a character limit for larger groups. Unbelievable oversight by MSFT.
The main issue is how Windows 10 handles contacts. Is there a way to import contacts directly into the people app? My only option seems to be going onto outlook.com, bringing up the web version of people, then importing the old .csv into there. It works and I can see all of her contacts when using outlook.com, but they do not appear in the mail app. When I open up the people app they appear, but when I start a new message and click on the little person in the TO, CC, or BCC field, there are only 2 or 3 names that show up. It does not autofill contacts directly from the people app. The people app settings are not limited to phone numbers and all accounts are checked off. The lack of options and settings in the app are awful. You can't even right click on a message and say "add sender to people" you have to do it manually, or "hope" that it automatically adds people when you contact them (it hasn't been doing that).
