Cannot add contacts personal folders to address book in Outlook 2016

I imported two .csv files containing my contacts into Outlook 2016. They are now stored in the Contacts Personal Folders, but I cannot make this particular folder the default one for contacts, nor can I get it included in the list of address book folders to choose from. I can open the file without problems and see all my contacts, but because it is not included in the list of address books, I cannot access content when I need to choose the recipient of an email.
Does anyone know what to do here?

Try going into accounts. (File - Account settings.
Select "Manage profiles". - Show Profiles. - Properties - Email accounts.
Choose "Address books (The last item on the top bar)
There you can change it to another address book, which then becomes the default.

This folder you have is separate from Outlook? As if you obtained it from someplace else? If so, I think you must import it first.

File > Open & Export > It's one of those 4 options. Most likely Import/Export?

TBO, I used Outlook all the time when in business, but I've been using the Store app since retiring and haven't kept up with Office Outlook.

when I go into File - Account settings, I can't see anything corresponding to Select "Manage profiles". - Show Profiles. - Properties - Email accounts (I have an Italian version of Office).

I have tried right-clicking on the address book that I want to make my default contact list, then choosing Properties, and then Outlook Address Book, but the option of making it the default address book is greyed out.

Probably the easiest way is to use "Tell me what you want to do" help. Type in > Add or remove an address book. Help shows up at the right.

I need to say that I did start using it again a few weeks ago, so basically trying to learn the changes and new features.

I'm thinking that the best course of action might be to delete the address book that I'm trying to make my default one, and then reimport my contacts (the two .csv files) but download them to a different location.

I think the folder you have is ok. Type > Import folder > into "Tell me what you want to do" help. It shows how.

It would be the one on the Office Exchange server, yes? I think all MS email, contacts, and calendar files are stored there. We just use different apps to obtain them locally.
