Many thanks for all your suggestions, HippsieGypsie, but nothing seems to be working. I cannot delete my folder so I have to keep trying to get it included in the list of available address books. My contacts are all in the Contacts - Personal Folders, but this list is not included amongst those offered by Outlook as a default address book.

You're welcome, Florio. Perhaps your Outlook is corrupt? Do you have the whole Office suite or just Outlook stand alone?

    Hi davehc,
when I go into File - Account settings, I can't see anything corresponding to Select "Manage profiles". - Show Profiles. - Properties - Email accounts (I have an Italian version of Office).

I have tried right-clicking on the address book that I want to make my default contact list, then choosing Properties, and then Outlook Address Book, but the option of making it the default address book is greyed out.

    Thanks for the screenshot, davehc.

My version of Outlook is obviously very different. When I click on File -- Accounts, I'm immediately taken to the following page:

Cannot add contacts personal folders to address book in Outlook 2016-screenshot-1-.png

Can't see any profile options anywhere.

I have somehow managed to include my list of contacts amongst the available address books. The problem now is how to make it the default address book. Is there a registry entry or something similar that could do this?

Ok. It is difficult to follow, with the language difference, but, sincerely I cannot even emulate the picture you have shown. Guess I will have to leave the problem with someone else.,

Don't know how, but seem to have solved the problem. Perhaps perseverance is the solution!!

LOL, yes, "Seek and ye will find". :)

Did my last instructions help to a solution?

You may want to mark this thread as solved if you have not already.
