Turn off all the pretty features and looks of windows, set all Nvidia driver enhancements in control panel to high performance and then just clock the crap out if everything. Setting power plan to high performance helped along with setting clocks and fan speed in MSI AB then closing the program. Also setting the fan speed to 60% reduced overall power usage and allowed for higher sustained core clock cause it wouldn't hit the power limit as often.
I got the CPU in the Newegg box, put it into the Mobo and held the cooler on it to see if it was recognized Correctly in the bios, shut it down and delided. Lol
Currently at 4.6 at 1.296V. Cpu stays under 60C in stress tests except core 2 which hits 70c for some reason. Score improved massively just because of the extra 4 threads.
I think it was like 4-500pts just because of the threads.
Thanks man! That's about max my card can do. Only way I would be able to get higher is a cpu OC, custom bios on GPU or water cool the GPU. Even at 60% fan speed gpu stays at 55c. It's solely hitting power limits and lowering clocks.
Yeah, I read they run hot. I may get the guts to delid one day. Did you use a razer/vice or one of the kits to delid?
