Going to try for 4Ghz on my Rzyen 1200 for everyday use, once I mod my heatsink with cooper ramsinks and Arctic Silver adhesive and see the results.
I can't get an other low profile cooler for my setup that would fit, my current Noctua one is the best on the market under 45mm clearance height; otherwise I'd have to go water but I'd prefer not to.
My daily clock on the Ryzen 1600X.
Nice, if I hadn't went ITX I would gotten a 1600X and in terms of overclocking the sky (voltage limit, silicon lottery and noise) would have been the limit for me since I'm willing to spend as much as the cost of the CPU for air cooling (high end heatsink and fans).
Currently my setup consists of all Noctua fans in my case, Noctua heatsink, modded GPU Noctua fan, modded PSU Noctua fan and of course Noctua case fans in which I added a modded case fan as exhaust (taking a bit of heat load off the PSU).
I'm still pretty cheap though, saving money where I can when if comes to scrap metal electronics.
I'm putting together an 8700k rig too. I'll post those numbers once I get it up and running.
