I just finally had to raise my Vcore from 1.376 to 1.408 and temps at idle and the very short burst for the validation are at core #3 62 maximum, the rest 52 and under, Mike my CPU isn't going to die. Oh yeah, I also need to change LLC from 6 to 7 too.

That's some serious speed with that chip isn't it Cliff! Very impressive stuff! I would imagine on a suicide run you could get 5.7. But from the voltage you said it was running it doesn't actually sound dangerous at all. Obviously these CPUz validations are far from what we can run normally. What speed can you bench at?

Does anyone know what's going on here? I am seeing how much I can lower my voltage for 5Ghz. I am using adaptive mode + negative offset on auto. I set the turbo override value to 1.230v and LLC to level 4 yet it still shoots up to 1.280v in Windows... Is looking like this voltage is just locked into the chip?

It is normal. I have the same behavior with my CPU when running at 5GHz / 0 AVX / 1.350V / LLC4, the Vcore will go up to 1.400V when under heavy load.

    With my current daily OC I have near perfect Core Voltage, 5GHz / -2 AVX / Cache 47 / 1.300V Adaptive / -0.005 offset / LLC 4.

    Non-AVX load - 1.304V

    Idle - 1.304V
