Tried some other clock speeds 3950x only gets about 4.525Ghz on CCX with the best core they rarely reach the 4.7 marked on the box with PBO
The 5950x doesn't have that issue it can almost get all core 4.8Ghz which honestly AMD chips have always maxed out at that speed unless you throw ridiculous voltage to reach 5Ghz i recall my FX8350 did 4.8ghz with 1.488v on water and that was safe haha

Hard to see why that 16 core chip isn't faster.

It's the CCX they corrected it with the 5950x Across the board most have only gotten 4.3Ghz all core some 4.4Ghz and a select few close to 4.6Ghz
