I just ran Passmark on my desktop system multiple times.

All I can say IMHO that is one screwy benchmark that shouldn't be trusted.

It is ok if you want to have a good
It is all about relative differences or absolute differences.

As a tool to test against other pcs (different hardware), it is like any other tool to be taken with a pinch of salt. Here differences are absolute.

However comparing features on same pc, it is of use e.g. testing which virtual machine performs best on a given pc (one hardware configuration). Here differences are relative.

Bench marks are best used to check own system when setting up or tuning PC, to see which way it's going. There are too many variables to accurately compare with other systems, even some background task can throw it off

OK - but hardly any different to results a week earlier - you would need to repeat several times to see if consistently constant. Too late now for old bios.

I run benchmarks only when something is new. just to see if it's better or worse, CB I let run 5 times in a row, This one twice. as it doesn't heat up anything as much,
