So it wont work then, I upgraded my 7 pro with insider to 10 pro, my 7 wasnt legal so I got digital entitlement linked to my msa. Now im get this new laptop and it has 10 home on it but I would prefer 10 pro. Youve confused me, I thought I could transfer the licence and the new laptop will be 10 pro and itll be activated with the same digital entitlement link to my msa. Can I do this? And how?
I told you how. Upgrade to Pro and use activation troubleshooter.

I think ive got a problem, the new laptop came with home v 1511 and it seems i cant use the activator troubleshooter to activate. What I did was use macrium reflect to make a image of the disks, I stored that on my external drive, then the entered the generic key given by cereberus, after that my windows upgraded itself to pro but on v 1511 and the option to use the activation troubleshooter is not there. Is that because pro is still activated on my old pc. What do I do now?

You have to upgrade to version 1607 or later:
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/20530

In Windows 10 (Version 1607 or later), you can link your Microsoft account to the Windows 10 digital license on your device.
and the initial Windows also had to be version 1607 for the digital license to get linked to a Microsoft account in the first place in order to be able to transfer it.

I need help, my old laptop is running 10 pro version 1607 ,and my new laptop is running 10 home version 1511. I entered the key I got from cereberus into my new laptop and it upgraded from home to pro, which is what I want - however it is not activated. It is also version 1511 so there is no troubleshoot option on the activate section of the settings. All I want to do is swap the versions and have them both activated. Previous my old laptop containing version 1607 was linked to my MSA and it has got digital entitlement. The copy of win 10 pro on my old laptop is activated at the moment with a digital licence, I suspect the reason my new laptop not activating is because my old laptop is still using the digital licence to remain activated. If log into my MSA I see that my old laptop is listed there as a device, there is a remove device but the link doesnt work. Niether can I figure out how to down grade my old copy of 10 pro to home to enter the licence key I got with the new laptop, I also tried to update version 1511 on my new laptop so that I can use the activation troubleshooter but it seems to download until a certain percentage (the exact percentage always varies) and then it moves back to 0% and starts redownloading. Please help - all I want is an activated copy on win 10 pro on my new laptop and an activated copy of windows 10 home on my old laptop.
