    Macrium Reflect Free: Retention Rules

    All,
    Thanks to this site's recommendation, I have downloaded and configured MR Free for System images. I have it scheduled to do Monthly Full & Weekly differentials.

    I can't understand the Retention Rules? Here is my default set up.

    But when I go to the log of the scheduled job, it shows;

    So why is default retention rules different to the actual scheduled job?

    Can somebody sort me out please?

    Is there a conflict? The first relates to number, the second to time. The question would then be 'Which takes priority?' To which the only logical answer would be time.

    Thus you keep up to 12 full backups up to 26 weeks old.

    Does that seem reasonable?
