Since I use Reflect exclusively on my laptops, I use a 128GB SD card and as such backups runs automatically (through the task scheduler) without any user intervention. I don't use the SD interface for anything else and use a SD card that fits flush to the laptop as it remains there permanently. I use the differential backup process and can fit over a months worth of backups on the card. Of course this may not be viable for you if your laptop hard drive contains massive amounts of data. I then transfer this data once a month to a high capacity portable USB drive and store it offsite. I'm sure there are more elegant solutions but this has worked well for me. I have high regard for and high confidence in Macrium Reflect.
