Should File History Schedule show up in Task Scheduler?

    It finally saved it on the external drive all by itself at 6:22PM. Thank you for helping me understand how it works.

    Great- people have reported issues with external drives with Win 10, but I have no idea if those are related, mostly being about loss of data/partitions/unable to access them.

    I DID have the issue of not recognizing an external drive that was connected at the time of the anniversary upgrade. This "issue" showed up using a different external drive. Although, thanks to you, I am satisfied that files are being saved - the frequency of saving to the external drive now in use is NOT the same the same as it was prior to the upgrade.

I deleted some tasks in windows\system32\tasks, but they still show up in the scheduler. What gives? edit: It's not all of them actually, which is even more puzzling. I saw Remote assitance one and that stupid Xbox service.

I have set up the following in Task Scheduler:- 50990 However it does not work! Any ideas anyone? PS: How can I enable history?

Does anyone know if it's possible to invoke the file history backup procedure for a certain time? I'd like to be able to configure it to backup over night only (i.e. at 2am) - but I can't find a way to be able to set it to certain time.
