Hashtag: #FirstWorldNonNativeEnglishSpeakerIssues. I was desperately searching that word when starting this thread. Words Lottery and Sweepstakes didn't sound OK in my ears, talking about a Draw still feels wrong but as it is best of those alternatives I could think of I've used it.

I've only been here for just over 10 years this time, a few years in the 90's :)

We moved back here in Germany from Rome, Italy in June 2006 after the second stroke of my mother-in-law, to be closer to her. Both gone now, wife (now ex) back to Italy, mother-in-law to cemetery just cross over the street.

But yes, Tombola from German and Arvonta from Finnish were the first words coming to my mind.
