Scroll the log down so we can see the error ourself.
It created a differential shadow copy. There is no error. What about the picture? Are two opposing messages being seen, but not sent?
I ran the quick Error Scan. Every time I've run the other, I forget because it goes on for a long time.
I will let it run fully, because I don't buy all these green boxes.
Thank you!
Axe0,
After running the error log for 12 - 14+ hours, maybe more, this is the result. I stopped it.
As the title suggests, I don't believe a partially empty 500GB HD takes this long.
Is there another reason it's not filled in or finished?
Running the same test with Macrorit. I want to find the bad sectors and isolate them, if I can, (of course).
Haven't run chkdsk, as I had HD Tune running all day.
Maybe in the next few hours.
Thank you.
Do you know how many RPM your hard drive has? 0.9MB/s is incredibly slow and probably the reason why it is so slow.
Please fill in your system specsPlease follow this tutorial and download the tool. The tool will give you detailed information about your system specs, please fill in your system specs more completely including PSU, cooling and other used stuff like mouse, keyboard, monitor, case, etc.
The PSU, cooling and other stuff are NOT mentioned in the tool. How to fill in your system specs:
I'm following your instructions now.
I have other tests from HDT that I ran the same time, so I'll upload those shortly.
I've been opening files in D to see what's there, and so far, it's mostly stuff from desktop/docs.
(I get two points from before, ey?)
Thank you.
Filled in some and have a test result or two. If it's really important, I will share.
To back up to the Surface Test - it did say "0" errors and time remaining: "0."
AAM - High Performance, 254.

See enclosed.
Thank you.

Except for a bit of cleanup there hasn't been much done, either these bad sectors have already been handled or I would need to ask if the partition that was scanned is the right one.
How do I get you the answer?

Are you able to give me an answer for this question yet: How do I know that the original Image used to restore my computer is intact? Looking for the 2016 Outlook image. What has been written over and what's been protected?
I figured I'll do another recovery and see what happens, unless there's a way to guarantee it's on this computer.
What I will do today is save to a flash drive (which is okay to erase and to use as a temporary transfer) newly created files to restore after the image. It's mostly, if not all, on Desktop.
As far as Outlook, I must save Outlook settings and a new dictionary. There might be other tweaks, which I'll check out first, but those take TOO much time to rebuild. Have no idea why they weren't restored.
Can I save emails from a specific date up to today?
Do you have suggestions or warnings?
Thank you.
Simple, verify the image. How do I know that the original Image used to restore my computer is intact?
The image is pretty large, you may need to click on it to view it properly.
